Austin Emergency Center – Farwest

“Modern and sophisticated, yet urban vibe”

First Place – 2013 Design Excellence – Healthcare Facility
Second Place – 2013 Legacy of Design Awards – Healthcare Facility – Texas Chapter

This local Emergency Center was designed by Spaces Designed to reflect the modern and sophisticated, yet urban vibe of its surrounding area, creating a functional space that is both aesthetically pleasing and comfortable. Special attention was given to serve the needs of both the patients and the staff occupying the space.

The stylish, yet functional waiting room features contemporary dark leather seating, modern lighting, and a bright reception desk accented by an eye-catching stone feature wall. The warm-toned wood-like flooring adds a modern touch.

The contemporary art collection adds local urban style, and each of the patient rooms is graced with beautifully bright artwork, including a custom wall mural for the children’s room. The nurse’s station features a tall, sweeping counter and generous storage; all in rich dark wood. The neutral color scheme with vibrant wall art maintains the organized calm of this very functional space.

We worked with Komal of Spaces Designed to set up our free-standing ER. Not having worked with an Interior Designer/Decorator before, I had no idea what to expect, but Komal, Taylor and Shaunn made the process effortless. They were actively involved from the contruction process in the beginning, conference calls weekly and last minute “touch-ups” after we opened.

Their mastery of the use of texture and color, placement of art and decor, while simultaneously helping you express your own taste, is unsurpassed. Equally important, Komal was always mindful of and kept us within our budget.

Having worked with such a pleasant group of professionals, I’d never work with any other Interior Designer.
