Barton Hills Residence

A Contemporary Urban Home.

Spaces Designed

LOCATION
Austin, TX
SIZE
5000 sq

Located in a private neighborhood in the Barton Hills neighborhood, the residence was designed for a young professional couple and their sons. After working with a local architecture firm to design a home that would fit their needs, the clients turned to us to design an interior concept to complement the home’s modern exterior.

To accomplish this, a clean, modern &  bold palette was selected which creates spaces that are unique and stylish, while still being warm and livable for their young family. The lighting and finishes express the clients’ love of all things white, black, and gold. Luxurious materials, tones clad the kitchen and bathrooms. A truly eclectic interior, the furnishings weave together the clients’ affinity for classic designers, comfortable contemporary pieces, and art and objects collected in their world travels. Mixed metals, textural wall-coverings, and rich, patterned fabrics complete the moody and dramatic interior.

An intricate and dynamic series of interior spaces flow easily within the open-plan layout of public spaces, which includes a kitchen, a living room, and a dining room. This light-filled house is a very private domain, personal and exclusive from nearby neighbors, but with an active relationship to the natural world beyond as revealed through the strategic use of the architectural windows & expanse of large sliding doors. The main floor exudes the feeling of home flooded with light and modern comfort. The whole wall of sliding doors was created to enjoy picturesque views of the complete Austin skyline. The spa-like master bath lends a relaxing moment from a timeless perspective. The awe-inspiring rooftop deck overlooking the city was built for entertaining unforgettable moments.
