Komal worked with us on 2 houses. First, she staged our previous for selling and then moved on to a very large renovation on our present home. For the renovation she was the design lead and coordinated all other services. We utilized an architect, engineers as well a general contractor. The renovation lasted over 14 months.

She really focused on our needs and provided suggestions that reflect our style. I really like a contemporary vibe but did not want it to be cold feeling. Komal always kept that balance in mind as we tackled each room. She seemed to find my comfort zone right away. She did this by talking with my husband and I looking at magazines that had details and elements that we liked.

Komal was very timely in her services and really well organized. I relied heavily on her during the project. I was balancing a great deal on my own and she was always on time and ready to go. She kept track of everything. When ordering products delivery is based upon suppliers turnaround time and there can be delays. Komal followed up with all the vendors and managed to get a hold of things that were hard to find or out of stock. It really helps that she has good relationships with vendors in and out of town.

We had a great rapport. If I didn't like something, I told her without any problems. I enjoyed learning about the many products out there and there were times when I truly relied on her expertise in making choices. In a ddition, she went to great lengths to make sure I could visualize, in advance, whatever she proposed. She is really intuitive. She doesn't want you to have something in your home that doesn't feel right to you. She's always looking for feedback that the project is on the right course.

I would utilize her services again without a doubt. Our home has won numerous design awards and people are knocked out by the space. But more than that, our home is beautiful and it suits our family. We have two kids and two dogs and we really LIVE in our home. Each room feels so good. That really is the thing that is hard to explain here and likely it is the most important skill of a designer because once the swatches are put away, this is the space you will be living in and it needs to feel as good as it looks.

Komal has this skill and it was evident even from the staging in our first home. a friend came in after Komal had gotten it ready to sell and my friend said, "I don't know what it is, I just feel like I can breathe in here." my friend was quick to say that my house was really nice before hand and not a cluttered mess or anything but again there was an intangible quality that had changed.

We had seen a lot of kitchen remodels on the TV and on the Internet and saw a similarity in designs over and over and we wanted something current but not the same as we had always seen. Komal listened to our wishes and sized up our kitchen and made a truly original design. Komal spent lots of time searching for the right materials and colors and was very hands on. Komal was an advocate for quality workmanship from potential contractors and found us an extraordinary cabinet maker who was also a perfectionist. Komal treated our project as though it were her house. Komal involves herself in every detail and has a great eye for color and texture. We have been working with Komal for approximately 4 months. She is currently assisting us in the design of our remodeled kitchen. I have worked with several designers in the past and have found Komal to be the most professional. She is responsive and pays attention to details. Some of the designers I have worked with in the past enjoy the shopping component of the job and seem to be less attentive to the details critical to successful implementation of the project.

We selected Komal to assist us based on the portfolio photographs on her web page. The images depicted on the web page are more contemporary than our current home environment. However, Komal has a broad sense of style that allows her to respond to a variety of client's needs and tastes. She listens to the customer and does not impose any preconceived ideas about how a space should be designed.

In all honesty, I must say that it is a challenge for any designer to identify items/styles that both my husband and I can agree upon. However, Komal has proved to be the voice of reason and has helped my spouse and I find that narrow area where we both agree, whilst maintaining a great degree of patience. I have never felt a sense of frustration from Komal. In fact, I feel that when we are having difficulty finding something we like, she is more determined than ever to find something that we will both be very happy with not just satisfied with.

Komal also has an appreciation for her client's budgets. She provides choices that are within a reasonable price range rather than showing something that is gorgeous and hoping that the client will disregard their budget and purchase the item based on an emotional response. She also has been extremely reasonable in how she charges for her services, both in terms of the rate and the number of hours charged. Additionally, she does not provide a negative response if we delay a purchase due to monetary concerns.

We are in the process of embarking upon a long-term project to update every aspect of our current home. Komal is the first designer that I anticipate having a long-term relationship with to achieve this goal.

I have been working with Komal for about 5 months now. She has turned my empty house into a place my daughter and I now call our home.

She has designed our entire home (around 1800 sq. ft), from entrance to our master bedroom, such that everything is now connected with some elements that attract interest from friends and visitors. Please know from the beginning of this letter that this a biased referral! From my experience, with Komal and her team, I watched a living room and theater room (stuck in the 70-80's) transform into beautiful rooms that everyone is now jealous about! Both rooms are now modern, with wonderful colors (carefully chosen) with an amazing mindfulness to detail that covered paint, carpet, light fixtures, furniture, fabric, plug outlets etc. you name it she handled it. One of the things I really loved was the fact that this team went out of their way to gather examples of fabrics, paints, furniture, etc to choose from, even going as far as to locate pieces of furniture that we may like at varies stores so that we could physically see and feel the pieces before purchasing; insuring that we got exactly what we wanted.

Since the renovations there has been a surprise birthday party that handled 60-70 people, a D.J. and karaoke and the rooms were so perfect that all we had to add was red ribbon!
